What it does
SignWell is a hosted e-signature service for sending documents out for signature and tracking completion. You upload or template a document, place signature/text fields, set signing order, reminders and conditional rules, and recipients sign in the browser without needing an account.
It also offers a REST API, CLI, MCP connector and white-label embeds so signing can sit inside another product. Current plans: Free with 1 sender/1 template/3 documents a month and API included; Light $10/month annual or $12 monthly; Business $30/month annual or $36 monthly; Enterprise custom for larger teams/high volume.
Documents are hosted on AWS in the United States, with no self-hosting/EU-residency option documented. SignWell is a signing workflow service, not a PDF editor/converter, OCR/extraction tool, redaction or accessibility validator, and its legal/compliance statements are vendor claims rather than a legal guarantee.

Worth knowing
The free tier is one sender and three documents a month (API included), and documents live on US AWS infrastructure with no self-hosting or EU residency option. It is purely a signing tool: editing, redaction, conversion, OCR and extraction are out of scope, and form-field placement is preparation rather than editing existing PDF text.
The free plan's one sender/three documents is a web allowance; API usage and paid plans have their own sender/document conditions, so unlimited paid web requests do not mean unlimited free API requests. Recipients need no account, but senders do.
Audit trails, ESIGN/UETA/eIDAS alignment, SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA are vendor/plan claims, not a legal certification or guarantee; legal validity depends on jurisdiction and process. No public GBP price is verified, so no GBP conversion is recorded.
