About Dialegein

Dialegein is an independent software index for people looking for a good tool and the founders trying to make one easier to find. We are building a focused shelf, not another noisy feed.

A useful index needs a point of view.

Useful over inflated

Listings explain what a product does, who it helps, and where to try it. We would rather have a smaller shelf people trust than a giant list nobody can use.

Context over clutter

Products are grouped by category, audience, and use case so a useful discovery path can start from a real need-not just a keyword.

Clear labels

When a placement is paid, it says so. Sponsorship is distribution, not an endorsement or a promise of search rankings, AI citations, traffic, or sales.

Verified, or plainly unverified

Where we have confirmed something - where your files are processed, whether a site is responding - we say so and show when we checked. Where we have not, the listing says "not verified" rather than guessing.

Useful for the person choosing and the person building.

Who runs this

Dialegein is operated by Calum Kerr, sole trader, Scotland. We also build our own PDF tool, which is listed here on the same terms as everything else - with no paid placement and no special treatment.

Questions, corrections, or a complaint: calum@dialegein.com

How a claim is checked, and what its hash does and does not prove: the method. What we have got wrong and fixed: corrections.

Supporting the work

The index takes no money from readers, and placement is not on sale. What is published openly is the tooling: did-it-upload is a free tool that answers the same question this index asks of every record, whether a file leaves your machine, and it is built on the same instrument used here. It is MIT licensed and always will be.

Sponsor this work on GitHub

Sponsorship pays for keeping the tooling working. It buys nothing here: no extra features, no ranking, and no say in what gets built or which tools are covered. The value of this index is that its answers do not depend on who is paying.

The full rules on sponsorship, referrals and editorial independence are in the independence and money policy.
