What it does
SignNow is a hosted airSlate electronic-signature and document-workflow service. Users upload documents, add fields, templates and roles, send requests by email, SMS, link or kiosk, collect typed, drawn or uploaded signatures and track opens, signatures and audit history in a server-side account.
The service is accessed through the web app, iOS and Android apps, a REST API with SDKs and embedded signing, and documents and signatures are stored by the service in the United States. The privacy notice last updated 13 October 2026 explicitly lists uploaded Documents and Electronic Signatures among the information collected, along with billing and service-usage information, and says SignNow services will not function without transfers to the United States.
Current plans, from the airSlate SignNow information page last updated May 2026, are Business USD 8 per user per month billed annually (USD 20 monthly), Business Premium USD 15 annual (USD 30 monthly), Enterprise USD 30 annual (USD 50 monthly), a Site License at USD 1.50 per signature invite with full API access, and airSlate Business Cloud at USD 50 per user per month, with a 7-day no-card trial. No permanent free tier was found.
The service also generates documents from .docx templates populated with data and tags into signature-ready PDFs, which is the catalog's convert capability; it is not a generic file converter.

Worth knowing
SignNow is a hosted server-side service, not a local or self-hosted tool: the privacy notice says documents, signatures, billing and usage information are collected, and that SignNow services will not function without transfers to the United States. Data residency is therefore recorded as United States, with no claim of EU-only hosting.

The next sentence gives the pricing logic behind it and is worth carrying, because it names what the customer is actually billed for: "You pay for the signatures you actually collect, not for the number of people who happen to have a login." So seats are unlimited on paid plans and usage is metered by signature volume instead - a genuinely different model from the per-seat pricing recorded for Syncfusion and Foxit in adjacent tiers, and the kind of difference a buyer comparing tools would want stated plainly.
