Accessibility
Browse all accessibility toolsauditing, testing, monitoring and remediating digital accessibility with the Level Access platform, where the official Audit and Test page says it combines automated scanning and monitoring with expert manual evaluation, that automated testing surfaces barriers in live, local, pre-production or secure environments with ongoing monitoring dashboards, that manual audits are run by experts including people with disabilities with unlimited validation testing, that the assets assessed range from websites and mobile apps to software, hardware and digital documents, and that its VPAT reports document conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Section 508 and EU standards, where the Automated Remediation and User Personalization page says the technology continuously scans the live site, finds common issues and automatically resolves them on every page load with suggested changes that can be reviewed, edited and approved, plus an optional personalization widget for colour contrast and saturation, font size and spacing, font selection, link highlighting, pausing animation, hiding images and voice navigation, and it states that complex issues cannot be detected through automation alone, where the Governance and Reporting page describes reporting and analytics dashboards with VPAT-inspired scores aligned with WCAG criteria and a Digital Accessibility Maturity Model, where the Mobile Testing page describes native iOS and Android rules with real device, simulator, emulator and cloud testing, CI or CD pipeline embedding and no code scans, and where the LevelDocs page describes guidance inside Microsoft Word for creating accessible Word files and exporting them to accessible PDFs with in-office remediation, read on 2026-10-16 from pages whose structured page data records a last modified date of 15 October 2026
Where your files are processed
Reported to upload your files
The vendor states that files are uploaded to their servers. We have not independently tested this.
A hosted platform with expert services around it. Documents and pages are assessed through Level Access's software rather than on your own machine, so the material being tested leaves your environment.
The pages read do not describe deployment options or residency.
What it does
Level Access sells a platform and a services practice for digital accessibility across web, mobile, software, IoT and documents. The platform covers the same four steps an accessibility programme needs - audit and test, remediate, monitor, and report - with automated testing and AI-assisted remediation alongside manual audits and expert services.
Documents are one of five surfaces it claims to cover rather than its speciality, which is the distinction that matters for a reader arriving from this index.
Best for
Organisations that need an accessibility programme rather than a PDF tool: a compliance posture across everything they publish, with reporting for procurement and regulation, and people to call when something fails. It is the kind of purchase a compliance or legal team makes rather than a document team.
Worth knowing
It is a platform and a consultancy rather than a PDF tool, so a reader looking for something to check or fix a single document will find this is priced, sold and delivered at a different scale: there is no published price and no self-service path. The PDF-specific workflow is documented rather than absent, though: the platform checker covers PDF/UA-1 and PDF/UA-2 checks with upload, test and report steps and bulk actions, automated remediation uses OCR and AI and targets PDF/UA-1 with the vendor warning that it may not produce a fully compliant document, and manual remediation and human review are options alongside it.
The Office authoring and output product is separate from remediating an existing PDF. A browser platform is not evidence of a public HTTP PDF API, so API availability is left unverified, as is the processing region.
Details, and where each comes from
Vendor statements, our own reading of their pages, and the things nobody has established yet, each answered separately. Where we have not confirmed something it says so rather than guessing, and a row nobody has established is greyed out.

What the redaction verdict rests on
From the vendor's own documentation, read 22 September 2026. Not tested by us.
What that does not establish
Recorded as `none` on absence: the platform audits, remediates, monitors and reports on accessibility, and nothing on the page describes removing content from a document. What it does not establish: anything about the document capability specifically, because the page read does not describe it - see the watchOutFor.
This is the weakest `none` in the batch, since the evidence is a marketing overview rather than a feature list, and it is flagged as such rather than presented as a finding.
What the vendor says
Claims are labelled rather than repeated as fact. Where we have checked something ourselves, it says so and shows when. Checked means we read the vendor's own page and it says what we recorded - not that we tested the behaviour, unless the note says we did.

“Web. Mobile. Software. IoT. Documents.”
Checked by us - the source says this Read 1 October 2026
Confirmed. The quoted text appears in the rendered page as read on 2026-10-01.
This claim was carried as reported rather than checked until this read. The first read of this page captured too little of the rendered text to compare, so it was read a second time with the network quiet.

How we checked
Read as rendered text in headless Chrome on 2026-10-01 and saved to the evidence archive, so the read can be repeated against the same file. Comparison ignores case, punctuation and hyphenation, which is why "open-source" on the record matches "open source" on the page.
